Michelle, Josh and Neveah came by today with their new family addition, baby Blake. 7 year old Neveah has waited patiently for Blake to arrive, so it was my goal today to capture the fondness she has for her little brother. Welcome baby Blake … I sure am happy you are here!
Jase and Cooper came by on Friday for photos … and oh.my.goodness … they are charming little fellas, that’s for sure. Jase was just a natural in front of the camera, and despite mom’s skepticism as to how Cooper would be on the other side of the lens, once he warmed up to me a bit, and realized it might actually be fun, he put on quite the show! here is a sneak peek for mom and dad … I will have more to show you in a few days!

11 day old baby Charlie came by today for his first photo shoot. WOW…. I have to say, today’s was the quickest complete newborn session that I have ever done … start to finish in 70 minutes! Once again … I can’t stress enough how having a baby come when they are younger than two weeks old makes such a huge difference in the amount of time spent posing, as well as the type of poses that you can comfortably place the baby into. It seems that once they hit two weeks, they simply start to “uncurl” and are much more likely to wake at the drop of a pin. Check out the sweet little pea pod that Charlie’s grandma made for him … I might have to butter her up to make some props for me! Here he is!

It’s getting late … I’m getting tired … so, this will be a short and sweet post. Mateo and Sebastian brought their baby brother, Alexander to see me today. Awesome session. Beautiful baby. Lots of cuddles, dinosaur battles, flying off the couch and cartoons while I worked with Alexander. Here is a sneak peek for you , Stacey ! And to the other clients that I saw this week …. I promise I will have some sneaks for you by early next week! Til then, I am signing out for a few days. I have a magazine deadline next week that is gonna suck up every spare minute. Jet Braun. Now if that isn’t a name that sets you up for fame and fortune, I don’t know what is. It is a little bit rock ‘n’ roll for sure, but “Dr. Jet Braun to the OR stat” kinda has a nice ring to it as well. Perhaps I watch too much Grey’s Anatomy!
Jet is the sweet little fella that my friends, Jules and Bobby, just welcomed into the world. As with baby Sawyer earlier this week, he was around 3 weeks old, and totally alert for most of the session. And, well… you know how I love those sleeping images … so this was another 4-5 hour shoot. Julie has become one of my favorite people over the years … we have worked together on many hair shoots, and she is uber talented and super cool. So, it goes without saying that Bobby is a sweetheart as well, and I really loved having a day with the three of them. I am so excited for them to be starting this new chapter of their lives, and I know they will be amazing parents and love everything that life offers. Congratulations my friends!
