my days have been pretty full lately. That just seems to be the way my life is these days. i’m kinda like the hamster on the wheel…. go go go with all my might , but never really getting ahead. So, I have kinda thrown in the towel on getting ahead. I figure it is highly over-rated, and I have adopted the one-day-at-a-time approach and simply do the best I can.
I think that I can thank my job for my increasingly relaxed take on the life. I find that hanging out with children every day is what keeps me grounded. It is what makes me say “I am not going to work on weekends or after hours … I want to play with my kids”, “I don’t care if the beds aren’t made today … we are only going to crawl back into them later” and “Who really wants to eat salad when there is chocolate?” Being immersed in the world of children has made me intensely aware of what is important in my life, and makes me care less about the trivial things that once consumed me.
